“1959 + 1964”, the seventh release by Gianmarco Silvetti and Natascia Parisella’s Secret Keywords, is an EP that contains five tracks defined by a precise logic and well connected with one another. Made of four unreleased works by Vincenzo Pizzi and a remix by French rave ambassador 14anger, the record is characterized by a strong intensity that grows minute by minute, track by track. It has the ability to get the listener dragged into it in a such a strong manner, wrapping him and leading him along a path that cannot be seen, but that can be heard pretty clearly. An aggressive and dark mood typical of modern techno characterizes “Mente Mente Sana Sana” and “Decadanza” – tracks 3 and 4 of the record – and is combined with a more transcendental one, dictated by experimental sonorities that almost seem ambient in the two opening tracks “03 Rose” and “L’Entusiasmo Di Sophie”. All this flows into and shapes an atmosphere that is both mysterious and dark, capable of defining and characterizing the concept on which the whole work is based. “Decadanza” remix by 14anger – the EP’s closing track – is an ensemble of crude and brutal sonorities, which almost seem industrial all along its 5.45 minutes length. It detaches the listener from the path he was following. It captures him and throws him violently on the dancefloor, with rhythms more defined, dense, hard, and aggressive that close the trip with a perfect exclamation mark.
